Fire Prevention Week

October 11th

5-7:30pm Near Harris Teeter

Fire Prevention Week October 8-14 is a chance for Virginians to learn about how to prevent fires from spreading, as well as plan escape routes if emergency strikes. It’s also an opportunity to thank the brave men and women who serve as firefighters and protect us every day.

This year’s Fire Prevention Week theme, “Every Second Counts: Plan 2 Ways Out!” teaches the importance of having a home fire escape plan and practicing it twice a year.

At Blue Ridge Shopping Center, we’re happy to do our part to participate in this week. Join us outside Harris Teeter October 11th from 5-7:30pm for a free public education event with the County Fire Marshal. This is a family friendly event – bring the kids to get a fireman’s hat and visit with the fire truck.

Don’t miss out on a fun and easy way to teach your family about fire prevention. See you there!
